The Study Abroad Office is committed to assisting Montclair State students with the protection of their own safety and health as they study abroad. Please use the following resources as you prepare to participate in the local culture of your host country.
- Study Abroad Health and Emergency Insurance
Montclair State requires all students to purchase HTH Worldwide insurance coverage for the period of time they are studying and traveling abroad. This requirement is in addition to any other health or travel insurance you may already have. This page explains the requirement in more detail.

Montclair State monitors all public announcements and travel warnings issued by the U.S. State Department. This page provides an overview of the precautionary procedures that the Study Abroad Office follows when such a posting is issued.

ZIKA VIRUS INFORMATION
The Global Education Center has posted links below to information concerning the Zika Virus. This is a fluid situation and we advise all those who are traveling to continue to monitor the situation if there are plans to travel to any of the affected countries. The links below should provide travelers with resources to monitor and assess the situation to make personal travel decisions. The Department of State has not issued an official Travel Warning at this time. If a Travel Warning is issued for a specific country where Montclair State University has programs the Travel Warning policy will go into effect.
