Italy- Passaic Valley UNICO For a student who is attending the Montclair in Florence Program in 2015 or has chosen to attend another Study Abroad Program. The applicant should submit an academic transcript as well. The application is available here. Sunday FEBRUARY 7, 2016 at midnight
Italy- Angelo and Mary Cali Reserved for students who will be attending the 2015 Montclair in Florence Program. Criteria: a minimum 3.0 grade point average required for the award and evidence of financial need. Italy- DiMattio-Celli Family UNICO Foundation, Inc. will grant $1,250 scholarships to two students attending accredited study abroad programs, in Italy, associated with a college or university in the United States. The application is available here. Sunday FEBRUARY 7, 2016 at midnight
The National Italian American Foundation Scholarship Scholarship ranges from $2,000-$12,000 for Italian American students or students  majoring or minoring in Italian. You must be a member to be eligible. It costs $25 to join. Visit website for upcoming deadlines.

The Association of Teachers of Japanese Bridging Project offers scholarships to American undergraduate students participating in study-abroad programs in Japan.

Austria - Ernst Mach Grant

The ERNST MACH grant is offered by the Austrian ministry of science and research, administrated by the Austrian Exchange Service (OAD) and targeted to exchange students from non-European countries who plan to study abroad during Fall 2015, Spring 2016, or Academic Year 2015-2016. Students applying to study at FH Joannuem University of Applied Sciences of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria are eligible to apply for this grant. United Kingdom - BUTEX North American Scholarships 

The Scholarship is open to all undergraduate students currently registered at an institution in the USA or Canada.  To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a study abroad or exchange place at a UK university which is BUTEX affiliated. Germany - German Academic Exchange Service

Study Scholarships are granted for one academic year (10 months) with the possibility of a one-year extension for students completing a full degree program in Germany.

Fellowships/Grants for Americans to Study in Scandanavia

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (normally $5,000) to individuals to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. The number of awards varies each year according to total funds available.

SWEA, NJ Scholarship for Study in Sweden

The Swedish Women’s Educational Association, New Jersey Chapter (SWEA NJ) scholarship amounts to a total of $6,000 per year. The area of study may include, but is not limited to, Swedish culture, history, music, visual or performing arts, literature, media, science or the environment.


Montclair State students who are interested in this opportunity may apply for the study abroad Exchange program with Kristianstad University, Sweden.  Please refer here for more information about the semester exchange program at Kristianstad University.

UMRSC- scholarship for study abroad in Denmark ** Applications for the 2016/2017 academic period (Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017) will be accepted starting March 1, 2016. Please note that at this time scholarships are not available for summer programs.**

Applications are accepted from U.S. citizens and permanent residents attending a U.S. college or university in any of the 50 states. In the past, scholarship awards have ranged from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00

Chinese Government Scholarship Awards are available for one year of Chinese language study, or for multi-year bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. programs. This award will cover tuition and accommodation fees, and awardees will be provided a monthly living allowance and medical insurance coverage.
