The University of Konstanz is located in Konstanz, Germany sitting just off the shore of Lake Constance and overlooking the Swiss Alps. Konstanz focuses on teaching through research throughout the disciplines. All academic buildings and service buildings are located on one campus, meaning you can access all of Konstanz on foot.
University of Konstanz is on the ECTS credit system which transfers 2 to 1 for Montclair State University students (i.e. 6 ECTS credits = 3 MSU credits).
The Spring semester runs from April to July.
The academic year runs from October to July.
This program offers courses in:
Most courses are taught in German. Limited courses are available in English.
A 4-week Pre-Semester Intensive German course and orientation is available to take to improve your German language skills. Enrollment in this course is highly encouraged. Students will receive 3 credits at Montclair State University for this course which begins in March. The cost of this program is 300EURO. To view more information about this course click here.
|Accommodation and Meals
With a medieval town center and green surroundings, the city of Konstanz offers a high standard of living and maintains a safe and protected environment.
Exchange students to Konstanz are guaranteed housing. Living Arrangements vary from residence halls to apartments around the town. Housing costs are about 800EURO per month.

Students participating in this exchange program will pay MSU tuition and fees - NOT Konstanz tuition. Accommodation and other administrative fees will be payed to Konstanz.

In order to be eligible for this exchange program, students must be nominated by their study abroad coordinator. There are 3 spots total for this exchange per year.
